At The Employment Source (TES), we understand how critical
skilled, reliable and responsible employees are to the success
of your business. Since our opening in 1996, TES staff has established a
wealth of resources in the local community by developing a network of highly qualified candidates
throughout the Quad Cities area. We also build effective and
long-term relationships with our clients and employees. We look

Staff
with Experience
Our staff has extensive experience placing individuals and
making the perfect match. Our experience includes both private
and public industries and ranges from large, corporate
structures to small office settings. We know that making the
perfect match includes many factors. We take interviews,
testing, reference checks and criminal background checks into
account when selecting a candidate to represent The Employment
Source. We are selective about our employees because it’s not
just our business, it’s yours!
In-Person
Applications and Interviews
We require all applicants to complete our
application in the office and undergo a thorough interview.
In addition to an applicant’s professionalism, we evaluate
their personality to ensure a good fit with your
organization. Rather than ask standard, preset questions,
we tailor our interviews to your specific needs. We also
ask applicants to explain any gaps in employment, reasons
for leaving previous positions and specific questions as to
their strengths, weaknesses and skill level.
Reference
Checks on All Employees
Most employers assume the employment agency they are
using conducts thorough reference checks on all employees sent
to work for their company. Unfortunately, that is not always
the case. The Employment Source checks all applicants’
employment histories and require
applicants sign an Employment Reference Waiver,
allowing their former employers to release information about
the applicant’s quality of work, including any work
performance and dependability issues.
Our employees must have, at the
very least, two positive work references. This documented
favorable work history helps reduce your risk in the hiring process.
Criminal Background
Checks on All Employees
TES believes that criminal background checks are a
necessity in providing quality employees to our clients. We
perform criminal background checks on all of our
employees, including temporary employees and direct hires.
Any criminal background we believe disqualifies an employee
from certain types of employment will be disclosed to the
client.
Selection
Through Testing
The Employment Source tests all applicants to determine their
knowledge, skills and abilities in order to place them into a
job where they will excel. When we meet to begin the job search
with you, we will ask for the specific skills and qualifications
you feel are needed for the employee to be successful in the
position. We will then utilize test scores as a tool for
making the perfect
match.
